Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the services provided by Clearances in Cornwall (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking our services, you agree to these Terms.


1. Our Services

We provide property clearance, waste removal, and related services across Cornwall. This may include:

  • House and flat clearances

  • Garden and shed clearances

  • Office and commercial clearances

  • Rubbish and waste removal

  • Probate and bereavement clearances

We are fully licensed waste carriers and dispose of all items in accordance with UK waste regulations.


2. Quotes and Bookings

  • All quotes are free and without obligation.

  • Quotes are based on the information provided by the customer and may be revised if the actual job differs significantly.

  • A booking is confirmed once we agree on a date and time, and may require a deposit.


3. Access and Responsibilities

  • The customer must ensure safe and adequate access to the property on the scheduled day.

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by lack of access or inaccurate information provided.

  • Any hazardous materials (e.g. asbestos, chemicals, medical waste) must be declared in advance. We reserve the right to refuse removal of such items.


4. Payments

  • Payment is due on completion of the service unless agreed otherwise.

  • We accept cash, bank transfers, and other agreed payment methods.

  • Invoices for commercial customers are payable within 14 days unless stated otherwise.


5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the job may incur a cancellation fee.

  • We reserve the right to reschedule due to weather, vehicle issues, or unforeseen circumstances.


6. Liability

  • We will take reasonable care when performing our services.

  • We are not liable for damage to property unless caused by proven negligence.

  • You are responsible for securing or removing valuable, fragile, or sentimental items before clearance begins.


7. Waste Disposal and Recycling

  • We aim to recycle and donate as much as possible.

  • All waste is disposed of at licensed facilities in compliance with UK environmental laws.

  • A waste transfer note can be provided on request.


8. Items of Value

If we discover any items of potential value (e.g. money, jewellery, legal documents) during a clearance, we will notify you and request instructions. Unclaimed items may be disposed of after a reasonable period.


9. Insurance and Licensing

We hold public liability insurance and are registered as an upper tier waste carrier with the Environment Agency.


10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
